Why I want to serve on the Summit School Board

I am passionate about doing the right thing for our children and our community. My husband and I have a 14-year-old who started kindergarten at Summit Cove Elementary and who is now a freshman at Summit High, so my interest in Summit schools is personal and about the success of every single student.

I moved to Summit 28-years ago, and I faced many of the challenges that are typical to mountain town living, including working three to four jobs while I found my professional and personal footing and becoming a working parent. I have stayed because of the deep connections made here and the support of this community, and I see this as my time to give back to the community and schools which have given so much to me and my family.
